Q:What payment methods are available?
A:Currently all payments must be sent through PayPal. After you complete your registration, you will be provided with a link directly to the PayPal website that includes your total cost due. Once you make your payment through PayPal, the event website will be updated immediately and your payment status will display as "PAID".

Q:How do I register for the Event?
A:Registering for the National F-Body Motorsports Event is very easy. Our web site has put together a registration page that walks you through the registration process and provides you with an itemized list of your choices, costs and car numbers. Every single driver, spectator, guest, friend, family member, etc, must be registered and paid to get into the track facility.

Q:Can I just pay at the gate and get in?
A:No, you must register online and be paid before you get to the event! THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION OR PAYMENTS ACCEPTED AT THE EVENT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! It may seem strict, but due to the complex nature of this event, we cannot make changes on the fly once the event commences. We hope you understand.

Q:Who can participate?
A:Anyone is able to register as a spectator if they just want to come watch. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Up until a cutoff date (to be determined) Camaro and Firebird owners can register to participate in the track events. After the cutoff date, any make/model may be registered for track events.

Q:Do I need to be a discussion list member?
A:No. In the past we required everyone to be a list member to register. This is no longer a requirement, but is strongly recommended to get the full benefit and comraderie of the event. You can join the list by clicking on the appropriate button on the website. There is a digest version of the list if you prefer less email in your inbox.

Q:Can I bring a guest?
A:Yes, absolutely!...paid guests are allowed to come with you to spectate. If they are going to participate in any of the track events (with their own car or with yours) they MUST register separately in the appropriate racing category and choose a separate identifying number.

Q:I am registered for one event, but can I (or my guest) just take one or two freebie runs in one of the other events?
A:No. There are no freebie dragstrip, roadcourse, or autox runs for guests. We get a lot of folks who would like to do this each year and at some point the cumulative effect of all the freebie TEST passes made by guests would be unfair to all the folks who have paid in full for track time. In addition, we have very specific insurance concerns regarding unregistered drivers being on track.

Q:I am a veteran event participant but no longer have an f-body... can I still participate?
A:Yes, this event is about comraderie as much as racing. As a return event veteran you can register a non-f-body. We have had former attendees show up in pickup trucks and rental Mustangs...all for a good cause. Of course we prefer F-bodies!

Q:What is the difference between a guest and a spectator?
A:None really. A guest is essentially a spectator that is registered by either a participant or spectator. Both have to be registered to get in the gate and neither one can participate in track events without registering for the specific event.

Q:What are the costs to participate?
A:The base event fee gets you in the gate and car show if desired. Everyone pays this fee including guests and spectators. When you register, it will be added to the first event you choose and will not be added to subsequent choices.

As an example, If you want to do the road course school and the time trial your cost would be:

$25 base event fee

+ $200 road course school

+ $50 time trial (must also be registered for road course school)

For a total of $275

If you just want to drag race, your cost would be:

$25 base event fee

+ $75 drag race event

For a total of $100

See the registration page for a complete cost breakdown. Your running total is updated in real time at the bottom of the registration page as you make your selections so you can see what your total cost will be prior to submitting your registration.

The event will have a host hotel (hotel web site: Plantation Oaks Info (click here)) where most participants will stay, however all travel, hotel, and accommodation arrangements and associated costs must be the full responsibility of the registrant.

Q:What is the refund policy?
A:Full refunds will be made to anyone who must cancel their reservation prior to May 1st, 2008. If the Event has obligated funds on your behalf (like the Track Deposit due March 14th, or T shirt printing for example) then your share of these costs will be deducted from your refund. The event is not blocking hotel rooms this year so you are completely in charge of your own hotel accommodations.

Since we are completely non-profit, we are trying to charge only what is necessary. Therefore, we plan to use all the money that participants commit to the event. Last minute cancellations create financial shortages which can 19t be made up in time for the event.

Last minute refunds (after May 1st, 2008): To be eligible for a last minute refund you must submit your cancellation and refund request to the Event Chairperson via email no later than May 20, 2008. You must state the reason why you could not attend the event. You must also include your postal address to receive your refund check via the mail. If we have money left over when all event costs have been paid we will pay refunds on a first come first served basis. If all eligible last minute refund requests exceed the funds available, the event chair may determine to make partial refunds to all eligible requests. There will be a fee of $10 (to cover time & postage) on every refund processed.

Finally, if you cancel please do not edit your registration entry. There is no user delete option as we use your database entry to keep track of how much money we owe you. If you edit your entry it may reduce your refund.

Q:What about car numbers?
A:Car numbers are limited from 2-999 and cannot contain letters or preceeding zeroes. At all times during the event, your car number should be displayed on the windshield as well as the passenger rear window area or passenger side of the back glass and should be large enough to be seen from the Control Tower (Drag Race) or the Pit Marshal (Road Race). You keep the same number for all events. In years past the Event supplied numbers, however this is a cost item we have deleted from the budget. Please make sure you can put numbers on your car. Acceptable applications are shoe polish or similar marking pen, pre printed numbers that affix with adhesive (beware magnetic numbers fly off!) or blue masking tape.

Q:Can more than one Driver share a single car for the event?
A:YES! Each driver of the car will need to register separately and get their own car number. Depending on the specific event, different car numbers are needed to keep track of who is who.

Q:How do I get an Event T-shirt?
A:Order event T-shirts when you register for the event. Sizes are available from Small to XXXL. T-shirts cannot be shipped due to excessive handling. The shirts will be delivered to the Event.

Q:How do I get more information if the question I have is not listed in the FAQ?
A:The best way to get more information or to ask a question not addressed by the FAQ is to join the Event mailing list.

The list is available in digest form if you don't want to receive each post to the list as a seperate e-mail.
